W3 Total Cache is not clearing out cache of website

Hi there

We removed nitropack, and added W3 Total Cache [Links visible only for registered users] to the website but we are still seeing old cache of the page, even in a new browser.

Please assist as we need to go live on Friday 25 October and we are not having a great experience with this :(

[Links visible only for registered users]. - on the home page,

1. the top page video is not loading when we refresh the page, while logged in

.2. the top page video banner (in a new browser not logged in) is showing a buggy video container we have deleted and added in a new video container in its place but after a cache purge nothing updates in a new browser not logged in.

checked in Chrome and Firefox.

Thank you. :) Hope you are well.

  • Hi,

    1) Does it happen only when you are logged in?

Are you sure you have no caching tool active on your server?

    2) Sorry, but I am not sure what you mean by "buggy video". It displays like this for me:

It seems to be correct to me, but I do not know how it is supposed to be, so it would be great if you explain it in more detail.

    Thanks

  • Hi there - I have jet pack? other than the w3 also which does not seem to clear any cache not as good as nitropack did it :( Please make nitropack compatible I beg you its so good!!!

We see a very OLD version of the first video we loaded with a black bar at the bottom of the video that appears then vanishes as the page loads it should not be there. We see it come and go... logged in or not logged in :( Nothing about the changes we make .... after saving...... are making sense when we look at the website logged in or logged out....

  • How do i send you a video of what we are seeing????? As pictures won't work here for what I am talking about....

Thanks for the help. It has been tough this time around not sure why so much is going wrong :(

    1) how will i know if we have a caching tool on our server? I am not sure I will have to find out - sure a caching tool would fix this?

  • 1) If the plugin still retains its cache after uninstalling, you must contact the plugin author for help.

Before that, you can try to install this plugin, purge the cache, and then deinstall it.

    2) You can upload the video to some video hosting service and send a link to it.

    Best regards

  • Thank you. I just wonder if I have not set up the W3 Total Cache plugin correctly ? It is very confusing and highly technical. Hope this link works for you to watch the video home page issue i am having ...

  • Did you assign a mute parameter, as I suggested in this topic?:

    https://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/76326/video-disappears-after-refreshing-home-page#latest

I still do not see this parameter in your website's source.

    It could be the culprit.

    Best regards
