Blog Image Overflow

I would like my images to be a fixed height in my blog feed [Links visible only for registered users] (first 2 rows look correct) and in my feed sliders (at bottom of page slide 1 looks good, slide 2 is not correct [Links visible only for registered users]).

Any help would be great, thank you!

  • Hi,

You can set image sizes in Betheme -> Theme options -> Blog & Portfolio -> Featured image:

Anyway note that if the uploaded image is smaller than sizes you set there, it will be not adjusted to this size, so you should upload images with at least the resolution you set there.

If you change these values, remember to regenerate thumbnails in Betheme -> Tools.

  • Hello,

Thank you for your response. I do have it set to Resize & Crop. And have Regenerated Thumbnails and it is still not cropping some images. Here is a video describing my issue: [Links visible only for registered users]

I am also wondering if there are any elements in Be Builder that allow me to have any type of blog feed on a page that pulls in tags instead of categories? The only work around I can find is a Loop Query but this isn't really the solution I am looking for. I used to be able to do this with the Post Grid in WP Bakery builder but I am working on switching all of my content over to Be Builder.

    Thank you for your help.

  • The sizes you set there are too big.

This original image has a smaller width than 1200px:

As I mentioned earlier, if the image is smaller, it will not be stretched and adjusted to the size you set there.

In Theme options, you must set values to fit such images, or upload images with a higher resolution.

  • I changes my dimensions to 600x300. Regenerate Thumbnails is not getting past 24%. I can send login credentials.

I also did not get an answer to my second question regarding any elements with tag queries. Are there any options or recommended addons here?

    Thank you!

  • My apologies, I do not know how I overlooked that.

No, there is no element to choose tags from other than categories, and Query Loop is the only option.

Regarding images please send us the WordPress dashboard access privately through the contact form, which is on the right side at [Links visible only for registered users] and we will check what might be the reason.

  • Thank you, that did seem to resolve on the blog feed page but still not in the homepage feed.

I still did not receive any additional information on my support email loop query follow up.

I will respond to that email as well.

    Thank you!

  • 1) Please check the sliders now.

    2) I overlooked the part about the query loop. Anyway, can you tell me on which page did you put it, please?

    Thansk

  • Yes, apologies, I think there is some confusion with the crossover with the information I provided to email support.

I have the tag loop query here: [Links visible only for registered users] (Old page/site with WP Bakery Post Grid for reference: [Links visible only for registered users])

Here is a Loom to explain what I would like to do: [Links visible only for registered users]

    Thank you again!

  • Thanks for the video. I misunderstood you at the beginning. In Query Loop, there is only an option to display posts from the selected category. We are working on the feature that would allow to do that, but at the moment there is no such option.

  • Thank you for your help with this. I have done a very simple work around and am just using an Article Box with the corresponding tag (ie: [Links visible only for registered users]).

However, on some of the pages, the tag query landing page has some Visual Composer code at the top. I am not sure where this is coming from. I'm using this set up on 79 pages and am getting the VC code on a little over a dozen or so pages.

Here is a search result with out: [Links visible only for registered users]

And one with the VC code: [Links visible only for registered users]

Any idea where this story code may be coming from?

    Thank you for your help!

  • You had unremoved content from main Blog page from WPBakery:

I activated this plugin, removed this part, saved posts page, and it does not appear anymore.

    Please check it out.

  • HI Phil!

    I have another question –

My client needed more content filtering options on their blog so I have set up a new custom template for the blog landing page using the Query Loop. How to I add a Load More feature at the end?

[Links visible only for registered users]

  • In the Query Loop settings, scroll to the Pagination settings and change it to Load More:

  • I don't have any options under Offset in my editor window:

  • Is your Query Loop a section? It should be a section, as this option is not available for Wrap Query Loops.

    Best regards
