Register/Deregister
I've got a domain that I had someone develop for me several years ago. I saw in my WP Dashboard that BeTheme needed an update, but when I clicked the button it wouldn't update. I'm currently on version 21.4.2. When I click the Update button, I get this message: "An error occurred while updating Betheme: The package could not be installed. The package contains no files."
I figured I needed my own license, so I purchased a license and tried updating the theme. When I click the blue DeRegister button. Nothing happens. I don't know what to do next. I can't update the theme, I can't deregister the theme that was registered by the developer several years ago. And when I tried verifying my license inside this forum a few minutes ago, I got a message saying it was older than the license I've already registered (or something like that). I just bought this license about an hour ago. How can it be older?

If the deregistration button is not working, it could mean that the person who installed Betheme on your website used an illegal, nulled version of our theme.
Please download a fresh copy of the Betheme package from ThemeForest and replace the current package you have installed with it.

Then, in the Betheme dashboard, register your license.
BTW, the license key verification on the forum is only to update the support period (access to this forum).

Thanks for the response. I tried uploading the zip file for the theme and it gets stuck on this screen.
Never mind. Figured it out. :-)
