Category images with ACF

I have created a Category image with ACF and assigned images to each category.

Now I want it to show as a background image in the top section of my blog page (the one specific to one category). I tried to put "{ACF:category_image}" in the section/background/image but it is not working. Any ideas?

  • Hi,

Please note that in the current integration of Betheme with ACF, custom fields for taxonomies (such as category images) are not officially supported, which is why it is not working as expected at the moment.

We have already added this feature request to our to-do list for future updates. However, we do not have a specific ETA or concrete plans on when it will be implemented and ready.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!

  • Ok, so now I disabled the ACF Category image. I'm using instead the archive custom image native to bebuilder. In the background of my section I'm trying to set it dinamically by using {featured_image}. Still no luck. What am i doing wrong?

  • Please attach a screenshot showing how and where you assigned this image and how you want to display it.

  • I have a global section I apply to all static pages where I have the feature image behind the title of the page, both applied dynamically. It works with pages, but not with archive type pages (categ

    ories)

  • Please send us the WordPress dashboard and FTP access privately through the contact form, which is on the right side at [Links visible only for registered users], and we will check what the reason might be.

  • Unfortunately, I'm still working on locahost. I'll do it as soon as I upload the site

  • Sure thing. Then I am waiting for an update from you.

  • Just sent a message via themeforest. Recaping:

I have a global section I applied to all static pages where I have the feature image behind the title of the page, both applied dynamically. It works fine with pages, but not with archive type pages (categories). I'va add the images to some categories but not to all, so please try it with "Teses do Cebes" - first subitem to second item in the menu

  • I received your private message, but the link you sent does not work:

Do not you have any regional limitations set?

    We are located in Poland.

Also, you did not attach FTP access in your private message.

    Best regards
