register license ??

edited August 21 in Theme support

Hi,

I just bought a new Betheme license. Now I want to register the lic key in the WP backend.

It links me to https://my.muffingroup.com/. Did this change? https://api.muffingroup.com/licenses/ does not work anymore.

I need to register my domain. But when I try to login with my saved credentials, it says "The email or password is incorrect. Please try again."

So my password does not work anymore and when I try to reset it, I don´t receive an email.

Thx in advance

Markus

  • Yes — it looks like Muffin Group is in the middle of a licensing/account-system change.

Their current account portal is now my.muffingroup.com, and it explicitly says it is for downloading Betheme and managing licenses. There’s also a very recent July 2026 support thread where Muffin Group staff direct a customer with a license/account problem to exactly that portal.

Confusingly, their official documentation still refers to api.muffingroup.com/licenses/ in several places. That old manager worked differently: you logged in using a ThemeForest username + purchase code, not an email/password. Their documentation also says that old tool was primarily for managing/deregistering already-registered licenses, while the actual domain registration was done under WP Admin → Betheme → Dashboard. So those docs appear at least partly outdated relative to the new account system.

For your new license, I would do this:

    1. In WordPress, go to Betheme → Dashboard and see whether it lets you enter the new license/purchase code directly. Betheme's current documentation still says the theme itself is registered there.
    2. If WordPress redirects you to my.muffingroup.com, use the email address associated with this new purchase, rather than necessarily the credentials you previously used for the old license manager.
    3. Check spam/junk for the password-reset message and search your inbox for muffingroup.
    4. If the reset email never arrives, this looks like an account-side problem, not something you can fix in WordPress. Muffin Group has a current contact page with a support/contact form, and their Support Center also offers ticket submission.

One important distinction: if you bought the license directly from Betheme/Muffin Group rather than through ThemeForest, that would also explain why your old saved credentials or the old ThemeForest-style license manager aren't the right route anymore.

If you tell me where you bought this new license (Betheme directly or ThemeForest), I can tell you the exact registration path and which credentials/license code you should be using.
