Replace prettyPhoto with photoswipe

Hi.
Plain & simple: I need to replace prettyphoto with photoswipe. How do I do that? I've already tried to disable prettyphoto in Muffin Options, install photoswipe plugin, but then clicking on an image gets me to a new tab, instead of the photoswipe lightbox.

would be interested too - prettyphoto looks very dated/oldschool and does not fit betheme ver well.

Hi,

we did never tested this plugin so we don't know what might be the reason but included prettyPhoto can be easily disabled under Theme options > Addons & Plugins > Addons section.

I just installed the JackBox lightbox and that doesn't work either after disabling prettphoto.

@modus What is the problem when you deactivate prettyphoto and activate own plugin instead? Did you tried to deactivate all other plugins as well to check if one of the is not the culprit?

SOLVED:

@modus, @muffingroup you have to disable the gallery shortcode, not the actual prettyPhoto js. That will do it. Check the link to the print screen.

Nope. It didn't work for me.

PrettyPhoto still shows up. If I disable prettyPhoto, it still sends me to a new tab.

@modus We did checked this plugin and looks like this plugin will not override any current lightbox system. Below, we paste the information that comes from plugin's page:

The plugin is not automatically compatible with other gallery plugins, and support for plugin or theme compatibility is not included.
The videos demonstrate how the plugin works. Be sure to watch them before deciding if JackBox is right for you.
The plugin will not automatically override any current lightbox system your website currently uses. Instead, you will need to connect all of your existing lightbox to JackBox manually once the plugin is installed.

It means this plugin will work for galleries only.
