Uniform Box Size

When I add a box to a column, is there a way to define the box dimensions?  I'm trying to add a box to each of three columns and want them to be the same height and width.  Thanks

  • Hi,

if you want to get equal height, you need to update theme to latest version first and then, you need to set Equal Height style for section item.

    Thanks!
  • I did that but it doesn't seem to be making any difference.  You can see the three columns at stripperadvice.com.

I tried both of the equal height settings in the section that contains the columns.

    Thanks for your help.
  • I used the BeTransfer theme as my base.
  • Did you read what we wrote above? Looks like you didn't because you don't have latest version installed what is quite important.
  • Sorry, I recently bought it so I didn't see that you had updated the theme to 12.  If I reinstall the latest version, will it change the modifications I have made to date?

    Thanks
  • And by modifications, I mean the pages, menus, sliders, etc. I have created.  I did not delve into any of the theme's coding.

    Thanks
  • Sorry.  One more thing.  The theme says that its up to date.  How does one update a theme manually?

    Thanks
  • btw, I have version 11.7
  • If you did not modified theme files, nothing won't change. More details about theme update you can read on http://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/13/how-update-to-the-new-version-of-be-theme

BTW Recent version is 12, not 11.7
  • I must say that that link you sent me too was not very straight forward.  Do you use the envato toolkit or have to manually overwrite the files?

If so, what directory do you overwrite?  Can you please just post the instructions here rather than sending me to some confusing and outdated thread.

A lot of us who buy your theme are not programmers.  That's why your theme is attractive to us.

You really should allow automatic updates like other themes do.
  • Envato Toolkit is deprecated what you can read about on https://github.com/envato/envato-wordpress-toolkit/issues/85

And to be honest, we don't understand what is so confusing and outdated. Like we explained in the topic above, you can do it thru WP's panel by removing current theme and uploading the new one. We don't understand what exactly is not clear enough here.
  • Like I stated above, many people like myself, buy your product because we can build a website without a lot of technical expertise.

First, which directory is the theme held in?

Second, are there chmod settings that need to be changed?  If so, to what?

Third, how do you change the chmod settings?

And who knows, I may have more questions once I get into it.  The thread lacks this detail and while it may make sense to someone with experience with servers, it isn't clear at all to the average novice.

If you could answer these questions I would appreciate it,  Hopefully, you can put together a step by step guide for the novice user like me.  I would be very helpful.
  • Like we wrote above, there is no need to look for a directory and there is no need change any chmods. You can do this thru Appearance > Themes section. Just remove existing theme and upload latest one thru WP's panel. That's all you need to do and this is what we described in point number 1.

Hope this would help you a lot.
  • Sorry for the confusion.  I updated the theme to version 12 but the equal columns are still not working. To be clear, in the section I have a wrap, and within the wrap I have three columns.  In the section settings, under Advanced-Style, I choose "Equal Height of Items in wrap | equal-height." I also tried the other Equal Height setting but neither are working.  Again, my site is stripperadvice.com.

Sorry for being a pain.  Thanks for your help
  • thanks for your help.  I ended up adding a height div tag and it's working.  Again, sorry for being thick.  I appreciate your help.
  • Great, we are glad to hear you sorted it out :)
