OnePage mobile menu scrolling problems

edited November 2014 in Menu / Mega menu
Hi, I have enabled the One Page setting on my site, and have created a menu as per the NEW METHOD on this page;http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/documentation/#menu

Unfortunately, I have found a couple of things to be annoying about the menus.

I would like my first menu item to scroll nicely all the way to the top of the page, like the scroll to top button you have built into the footer of the theme.
Additionally, selecting a menu item in mobile mode does not scroll far enough to display the section that it should.

Please advise how I can make this work properly.
Thanks!

  • Hi,

does it work the same way as on http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/fit/ or not? If not, then please send us url to your website and we`ll have a look on it.

Hi, thank you for your response. The BeFit menu works as I would like it to in desktop mode, but my menu in OnePage doesn't do what the beFit menu does when clicking on the equivalent of the "start" menu button. What is the Anchor tag that I need to use in the OnePage theme to get it to scroll nicely to the top?

The mobile menu in BeFit performs exactly the same as the OnePage mobile menu. it scrolls down (I think to the top of the section you should be seeing, but it's off screen,) so you have to manually scroll down a little further to see the content for the menu option that you clicked.

Is there a fix for this?
  • The anchor tag should be as the following: pagename#anchor-link
  • No, you aren't understanding my question I think. Also, I had more than one question, and you only answered one of them. One is concerning the anchor tag, the other is regarding the mobile menu scrolling not going where It should.

As for the Anchor tag in desktop mode, I need to know what Tag in the OnePage theme to use that will make it just scroll to the top of the homepage. If I place an ID in the first content section, the link will only scroll up to the beginning of that section. But I want it to scroll to the very TOP of the home page.

Please answer TWO questions, not just one. Thanks!
  • Sorry if we misunderstood but from above message we see only one question that is related with go to very top section.

Each header section should have Header_wrapper ID. And this is what we used for anchor tag. If you will hover over the link on demo you will see how the links looks like. And that's why we always recommend to install our demos instead of building from scratch because it is much easier and faster for users to learn how things works.

Anchor tags can be added only for sections as we described it at http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/documentation/#menu and you can't do anything except that. And if you create one page website, we recommend to use 2nd option where you activate "One page" for each website in "PAge options section".
