Charity Theme Installation

While trying to Import the Charity Demo from within the Demo Data section, all I get is the following error:
Sorry, there has been an error.
The file does not exist, please try again.

I get this error If I check the box for importing attachments or not.
Thanks for your help!

  • Hi,

please take a look at this topic https://wordpress.org/support/topic/import-error-15 and try to do what has been described there because we have no idea what could be the problem. We are only sure that this is definitely not theme problem.

    Thanks for understanding!
  • The discussion you linked me to has to do with backing up the site and restoring. I don't know anything about that. I'm simply trying to import the Charity Demo. I was able to successfully import other demo data and pages etc... but every time I try to import the Charity Demo, I get the same error.

Do you have an XML file I could import of the Charity Demo instead? This is the exact look I am going for. Thanks!
  • Additionally, just to be sure this wasn't a temporary problem, I just went and imported the Fit Demo and it did so quickly and easily. Then I went and tried to import the Charity demo and I got the same error message again.
  • Did you tried to import Be|Charity from latest 5.1 version? Or older one? Because maybe the problem is that you try to import this page from older version. If you don't have 5.1 version, then please update your theme and then check.
  • I have the same problem with all demos...

I have the last version of betheme 17.8.6 with the new importer
    The old one worked perfect

    It works only with :
In all other case it say

Sorry, there has been an error.
The file does not exist, please try again.

I checked that the php function wp_get_remote and file_get_contents works and max_execution_time and max_input_time are 360 seconds
Can you fixit or i have to downgrade the theme?

    Thank's Andrea
  • Hi Andrea,

please go to your FTP, create php file with phpinfo() function inside and send us link to that file so we can have a look on your server settings. The problem is probably related to limits but to be sure which one is the reason, we need that link. For more details about file creation, please visit https://mediatemple.net/community/products/dv/204643880/how-can-i-create-a-phpinfo.php-page

    Thanks!
  • I'd like to send you the link in private (is possible in inbox in my account profile or i'll give you mail)
The server is the same of others betheme's installation... they worked until last week... today i have the same problem with the old importer too... yesterday the old worked right...
    Thank's

  • You can send it privately thru the contact form which is on the right side at http://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact
