This is header background. You can remove it by activation "Header | Minimalist" option under Theme options > Header & Subheader > Header section.

Hi, this means that your hosting is not wordpress ready. The problem is between wp_remote_get() function which uses loopbacks and settings on server side. In this case, you must import all theme settings manually.
