Please open your website in Firefox html mode (CTRL+U) and check how many html errors you got. Please fix them first and all should be fine.

404 error is always related with permalinks. We suggest to combine with permalinks then.

All you can do is contact with your server admin because your server is limited and does not work properly with wp_remote_get() function which uses loopbacks. Or you can import all settings manually as well.
