Hi, we do not have any list of recommended sizes for images but you can open our demo site, check the items or shortcodes you use and directly on our demo site, you can check sizes that we used for images.

You put this code in the wrong place. All css's should be pasted under Theme options > Custom CSS & JS > Custom CSS section. The field you mentioned above, is place where you can set classes names only.

Hi Alex, as we see, you used own shortcodes/items in slider. Maybe those items are incompatible with Rev slider and this is the reason why it does not work? Some items, may be just incompatible with slider.
