Thanks, we checked your site and didn't noticed anything wrong. It looks exactly as supposed to look like. The background image is fine of course and it's not true that it's darker than the background image that repeats itself.

Hey, if you mean Exclude Category option under Theme options > Blog, Portfolio & Shop > Blog section it is possible to exclude one category only. Thanks.
