Ok, thanks. So if you look at http://pasteboard.co/UlliiAX.png you see that the problem need to be related with one of your extra plugins. We suggest to start from extra plugins deactivation then because looks like one of them is the culprit.

We are not sure if that's what you mean (grey bar under the header) but it's not the header height. It's the top padding for content which can be disabled under Theme options > Global > Advanced section.

Yes, it is possible. In the right top corner of each section you have an EYE icon that is responsible for hiding/unhiding sections.

@mikopia No, you won't lose any changes because everything is stored in database. Just files would be replaced with the new one. Anyway, we are glad to know that you sorted an issue.
