If you did it, please also check if there is no Title under Settings > General section. IF that section is clear, please make sure that you activated "Force rewrite titles" option in Yoast settings.

No, we did never met with anything like that. We suggest to deactivate all extra plugins but if this won't help, please re-install theme but thru FTP only.
