Hi, These paddings/margins are coming from the Visual Composer, so you have to check in the VC editor if you didn't apply there any padding/margin, also you can set the 0px everywhere in these fields to prevent applying the default value. Thanks

It's not reinstalling of betheme, just a reinstall of the pre-built website - so it's like the start from scratch. The Child Theme should be used only when you customize theme files, so in your case, it's not necessary. Thanks
