Footer area widget
  • Hello,

First of all, I would like to say I love your theme :o)

Building the site goes well, but I have an issue now with the "Muffin Call to Action" widget in the footer area, as I am creating a multilingual website (using WPML). Can you explain how I can set up the specific widget (or translation of the English widget), depending on the selected language?

    Best regards,

  • Hi,

I have another issue about translations: I would like to translate the portfolio category I created. Any advice? Thanks!
  • Hi, I think you misunderstood my question :) I want to use your "Muffin call to action" widget in the footer. It is perfect, but I can't translate it. I want to mention my own portfolio overview for the action button, nothing from WPML.

The second item about the categories are in the portfolio: I can give them a name and in the portfolio item I can use them. But I can mention only 1 translation for the portfolio category. This data type does not seem to be "translatable" so I could see the right translation for "corporate identity" based on the chosen language.

The languages are fine, I put them in the header file next to the social icons myself.

Or sorry if I misunderstood your remark :)
  • For users challenging the same issue, I was able to solve this myself by
    • using the plugin "Widget Logic" for the footer widgets
    • enabling the WPML translation option for that specific taxonomy so I got the required fields
