cURL error 28
Hi there,
I received this error after trying to install a theme for my WP -- "Operation timed out after 30000 milliseconds with 22934 bytes received"
I checked about this issue on WP Forum and according to them, this issue occurred because of the DNS or PHP var. I fixed the PHP requirements (for your theme -- BeTheme) and the error still there.
Here I provide you the link of that forum: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/curl-error-28-connection-timed-out-after-3001-milliseconds/
From what I understand, the DNS should be OpenDNS instead of Google DNS. I've checked on my side it says the DNS from Google. So I changed to OpenDNS but the problem still persists.

I also contacted my hosting and they are working on it. Here attached screenshot of the error.
Please advice.

You can see that this issue is about connection timeout and the problem is not theme related. It is all about the hosting provider. He should already recognize and amend this issue by looking at the error message.

This is not a new issue, a lot of users have this problem and it always gets fixed with the help on the hosting provider. We assure that the problem is not on our side.
thanks
Kindly try checking with the theme developer, whether this is something to do on their end. I've even tried this with firewall and mod_security turned off for your account but to no avail. Looks like their API server is the one dropping the packets. Can you check and confirm with them again?
If there are any changes need to be done on the server end, let me know so I can further assist.

Regards,
A lot of users can download the packages from our server without issue.
Unfortunately, our hands are tied in that case and if your hosting provider can't handle this problem, then all that we can suggest is changing the hosting provider.
Cheers
