Hi,

I'm having some issues with my site and had a few questions.

Why do the icons I've put on my site show up when I visit getgrowthonline.biz/wp-admin but not when I visit getgrowthonline.biz?

How do I put icons next to the text in the Content section? I was only able to figure out how to put icons above the text.

The theme seems to be responsive to mobile, but the text is very small. How can I increase the size of the mobile text without increasing the size of the text on desktop?

In the ABOUT section, I would like to increase padding horizontally so the picture and text are closer in from the sides. How do I do that?

I would like the make the blue box toward the top that says 'Attract your dream customers' a different block of color than the turquoise on either side of it. I've already changed the color behind the icon and text, but how to I change the whole block to a new color?

When I downloaded the theme, I was prompted to install 10 plugins. Are they all required for the theme to work or can I delete some of them?

Hi,

1. Icons does not work because of CORS library which hasn’t been installed on your server what you can see on https://prnt.sc/uwks9a

More details about the CORS you can read on http://enable-cors.org/server.html but we recommend to contact with your server administrator this case because he will be able to help you for sure.

2. For that, you can disable Decrease Fonts option located in Betheme > Theme Options > Responsive > General section.

3. Please show us on the screenshot, how you would like to do this exactly so we may avoid confuse.

4. You can do this with custom css.

5. Plugins are not required if you don't need them. Theme works itself without extra plugins.

1. How do I link the black Contact button on the slider to the Contact section further down on the page?

2. I would like to make the whole box toward the top that says 'Attract your dream customers' red and not have the border of dark blue around it. Can you tell me how to do it specifically in CSS?

3. How do I change the paragraph text to white in CSS without changing the default setting? I was able to do it in one section, but I don't think I did the code right.

4. Is it safe to do automatic updates for the theme and plugins or is there a risk of something breaking?

1. If you want to do that, you have to edit that Revolution Slider, choose the contact button, and put the action "Scroll To ID" in the Action menu.

2. Do you want to change the color of all of the texts or only on 'Attract your dream customers'?

3. I do not recommend changing all of the paragraphs by CSS code because this can change all of the <p> tags, and this can make other items work badly.

4. Unfortunately, automatic updates do not work with Betheme, so we suggest not to use it.

1. I want to change the background color of only the box containing the text 'Attract your dream customers' right under the sliding header and I want the whole box to be red without the dark blue border above and below. How do I do that in CSS? An image is attached.

2. How do you do updates for the theme and plugins then if automatic updates are not recommended? Is there a risk of breaking something if you update?

3. Why is my header and menu not sticky on mobile? Sticky header is set to On in the Header Section.

4. How do I create a Privacy Policy page to put in the footer of my One-Page website?

1. I recommend you to change that, and make section with three wraps with three Columns. Then change background color of this section, and in section "Advanced | Style" check "Equal Height | wraps" and "Full Width".
After that change "Background | Color" in options of the middle Wrap; also change there "Padding" to align text however you want; in "Items" change "Vertical Align" to "Middle".

2. From version 20 you can update the theme from the dashboard of your WordPress, in the BeTheme tab. Just register the license, and you will be able to update the theme, install newest plugins and import pre-built websites with sliders. We are not including rev-sliders and plugin updates in the theme package.

2. It is hard to say what is the ideal dimensions for the slider image, because it all depends on the image. Here you can read more about resolutions

If you want to change the height of the image you must go to "Slider Revolution" and edit your slider. Then select the image, choose "Size & Pos", and you can modify the height there.
If you want to modify height only, click on the padlock because without it, the width will change also.

1. My website appears to be live at getgrowthonline.biz, but when I click the logo in the top left corner, it takes me to a temporary domain which I never intended to set up. It looks like all of my WordPress files are in this temporary domain also. Under Settings - General, it looks like the WordPress URL and the Site URL are both listed as http://gator3150.temp.domains/~getgrine. If I change the URLs there to be getgrowthonline.biz, will that fix it or do I need to do something else?

2. Another issue is that the icons which should be displayed are only showing as little boxes on the desktop version at getgrowthonline.biz, but the icons do show up on the mobile version and also on the desktop in my WordPress Preview. How can that be fixed?

3. I want just a simple title and text for my Privacy Policy like this https://lorenzogutierrez.net/privacy-policy/. Mine looks like this http://gator3150.temp.domains/~getgrine/privacy/ so I want the title centered, the gray removed behind it, and the 'Home > Privacy Policy' links to the right of the page title removed. How do I do that?

4. When I go to 'Slider Revolution' and attempt to edit my slider so I can change the height, I don't get those options. When I select 'Size & Pos,' it just says 'Add or Select Layers' below it even though I already selected the slider image. If I select any other layer to edit, all of the options come up but not for the slider. Why can't I edit the height of the slider image?

5. Also, the header and menu at the top becomes transparent as I scroll down on the desktop. How can I make it solid white?

6. The Testimonials section at the bottom of the page looks fine on the desktop, but the text looks squashed too much in the center on the mobile version. Is it possible to make the text spread further across the screen just for the mobile version?

1. Please migrate your website once again, but this time use Duplicator plugin.
This should change all of the links.

2. It is because of the CORS library, which has not been installed on your server.

3.Go to: Betheme > Theme Options > Header & Subheader > Subheader, and in "Hide" check "Subheader". Then, in Muffin Builder, you can make a new section imitating Subheader where you can put a centered title and set background color however you want.

4. Try to follow steps in this guide, especially pay attention to "Module Size" and "Content Resizing"

1. Is there any need to update BeTheme ever? Do you ever find security issues for BeTheme or are the updates all feature updates? Is there a risk of something breaking in the site if I do an update for BeTheme?

2. Would it be a problem for the theme to have WordPress set for automatic updates? I'm concerned about if something could break in the site because of updates.

3. I have a Placeholder enabled in the "Are You Doing Enough to Grow Your Business" section between the two pictures, but the space looks too big. Is there a way to make the Placeholder smaller?

4. The Contact button in the red Contact section at the bottom isn't centered, which you can notice more on the mobile version. Is there a setting for that or is it a glitch in the plugin?

1. It is good habit to always have your Betheme up-to-date, because like you said some of the functionalities can break, and you will have access to new features.

2. There should be no issues while using automatic (for WP) updates, so you can enable it

3. Do you even need this Placeholder there? Delete it and check if it looks good for you.

1. The reason I need the Placeholder there is because if someone wants to shrink their screen from the side so they can see other windows, the columns get moved around otherwise. Is there another way to deal with that issue?

2. I installed the Really Simple SSL plugin to make the site secure, but now it seems to be running slower. What can I do about that?

2. We do not support any SSL plugins, so we cannot help you with this issue. You should attach SSL certificate through yours hosting configuration.

3. Sadly there is no option to add new icons to Theme. Like you said you have to use pictures for that.

I tried sending an email through the Contact form at the bottom of the site, but it didn't send. I don't understand how to configure the Contact Form plugin at all. When I went into WP to the Contact Form section, it said there were 4 configuration errors. It said 'Invalid mailbox syntax is used' in the 'To' and 'From' section and 'There is a possible empty field' for 'Subject' and 'Message body.' I hadn't entered anything in any of the fields. How do I fix it?

I just added the Yoast SEO plugin and the text analysis is saying 'The text contains 0 words.' There is a lot of text, but the plugin doesn't seem to be able to read it. How can I fix this?

My website https://getgrowthonline.biz looks good on desktop and mobile but not on tablet. I'm still having the following issues regarding formatting for the tablet:

1. How do I get the text on the 'About' section to wrap around the picture?

2. How do I make the boxes in the 'Digital Marketing Services' section guaranteed to be the same length on all devices?

3. The red magnet at the top is cut off by the menu on the tablet. How do I fix that?

1. You can create section that will be visible only on tablet, and divide your text into couple columns.
Remember to make section visible for mobile and desktop as well.

2. Sorry but it is impossible to do that, because it will broke RWD. It has to wrap to another line otherwise it will overlap out of the screen.

3. You need to edit it with Slider Revolution, and modify Layer Positions. Betheme has no connections to how layers are displayed in SR.

1. I think this is an issue with Be Theme, not Slider Revolution. The problem is that the menu bar is set to cover over the top of the Slider image, but only on the tablet. How do I fix that?

2. I was able to create a new 'About' section for tablet only, but when I tried to do the same thing for the 'Digital Marketing Services' section (create a section for tablet only), the 'Contact' section at the bottom of the page disappeared even though it had no connection to the section I had just changed. How do I change a section to be tablet only viewing without having the 'Contact' section disappear?

4. Also, My text logo that says 'Get Growth Online' at the top was formatting correctly before, and now it says 'Get Growth' in the menu bar and the 'Online' is below the menu only on mobile. I don't think I changed anything so I don't know how this happened. How can I fix it?

To clarify the issue, when I created one section for tablet only, everything showed up correctly on all devices. However, when I created a second tablet only section, the last section on the website disappeared on all devices. Then, when I created a third tablet only section, both the last section and the next to the last section disappeared on all devices.

Is there a maximum number of sections allowed in BeTheme? Is this a flaw in the theme? Do you have anything to suggest to do differently when defining tablet only sections so I don't lose sections from the bottom of the website? Is it possible to create a Home page to be displayed only on tablet?

The website at the moment has three sections defined for only tablet. The two bottom sections which can no longer be seen are 'Testimonials' and 'Contact.'

I see that your "max_input_time" and "max_input_vars" are low, and that can cause this problems.
Please, contact your hostin provider to change "max_input_time" at minimum 180, and "max_input_vars" at minimum 5000.

1. What does 'max_input_time' and 'max_input_vars' mean? Is there any downside to changing the values?

2. I just tried to update BeTheme twice, and both times it said 'Update Failed: the package could not be installed." Why can't I update the theme?

3. When I try to text another iphone the link to my website, the image that should display with the link is blank. I put an image in the 'Open Graph | Image' section as previously suggested, but it didn't work. The Open Graph | Image displays in the text message, but the blank image still displays also. How do I fix this?

1. "Max_input_time" sets the maximum time in seconds a script is allowed to parse input data, like POST, GET and file uploads.

The PHP "max_input_vars" is the maximum number of variables your server can use for a single function. To work properly with a modern WordPress theme set this value to 3000, and yours is only 1000. If the value is too low, you may experience problems such as lost data within your Theme Options and disappearing widgets.

2. This message could mean that your license key is used on more than one domain. Please use the license manager to handle your license keys: http://forum.muffingroup.com/betheme/discussion/36219/cannot-register-deregister-your-license-key-use-this-tool#latest
If you see (on our license manager) that your license key is registered on a single domain, then please disable all of the plugins and deregister that license key (through the BeTheme > Dashboard)
After that, get into the license manager once more, if the license key is still claimed - deregister it, if it’s not, register it again on your domain (through the BeTheme > Dashboard) and try to update your theme/plugins couple of times (usually it pass after 2-3 attempts) - remember, all of the plugins have to be disabled.

1. I changed the max_input_vars to 3,000 and it worked! I did not change the max_input_time, although everything seems to be working. It's currently set at 60. Is there a reason to change it?

2. What phone are you using? I haven't found anyone else that has the formatting that you are getting. I have an iphone 7, and when I text another iphone, the correct picture shows up, but below the picture, there is an empty head image which should not be there. How can I get rid of the empty head image?

3. Also, what size should the
logo be?

4. Why does the favicon need to be in .ico format? Will jpg or png also
work?

4. Favicon does not have to be .ico, you can use .png and .jpg as well. This icon just need to have size 32x32px.
