Trying to update theme; getting "maintenance" message

I need to update Be Theme. When I click on "Appearance > Themes" in wordpress dashboard, I get message: 

"Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute."

This is now going on for hours. I cannot update theme because of this. Can you help?

the theme was stuck in maintenance mode due to an incomplete update. 

Is the directions at the link above the only way to update BeTheme? Is there no longer a way to update directly from the Wordpress dashboard?

I don't have the most recent version of BeTheme installed, but Wordpress is not prompting me to update. Envato plugin does not have any prompt to update the theme, either. Is anyone else experiencing this?

How did you updated the theme? Did you overwrote files via FTP? If you didn't, this could be the reason. Simple, old FTP method is the best and safest method to update files.
