problem with polylang and betheme

I’m working on a project using Betheme and Polylang 3.8.4. Since yesterday, I’ve been getting a critical error, and I can only access the German version of the site—the English version is no longer accessible. I’ve already tried updating the plugin to the new version. What can I do to get the site working again? How can I fix this problem? Is this issue already known?

  • Hi,

Sorry, but we did not test this plugin with the theme. Our policy states that we do not support third-party plugins or custom code, so, unfortunately, we cannot help you.

Also, we cannot recommend any plugins other than the ones we support. You can find the list on this page:

    https://support.muffingroup.com/documentation/bundled-plugins/#compatibility

You should contact the plugin authors instead.

    Thanks

  • Hello,

Will there be an update in the near future? It seems that Betheme loads the language first, which causes an infinite loop and then crashes WordPress.

I've attached a log file so you can better understand what I mean.

    Thank you very much

  • As I mentioned in my previous message, we do not support this plugin.

With any incompatibilities and problems with it, you should contact the plugin authors.

I also tried WPML, and I'm having the same problem there, so it probably isn't the plugin's fault.

Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the mfn-opts domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the init action or later. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. I've been trying to deactivate various plugins, and I noticed that when I turn off Yoast SEO, the error doesn't occur—at least for now. I don't know if the error will come back later.

    best regards

  • Please, turn off all of the plugins except WPML, refresh your cache, and check if the problem persists.

Moreover, if you use a child theme, switch to the parent, and recheck it.

If this will not help, please send us the WordPress dashboard and FTP access privately through the contact form, which is on the right side at https://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact, and we will check what the reason might be.

  • I entered your website, but you do not have WPML installed and active, but Polylang.

    Did you remove WPML?

If yes, please install it again, so we can check this issue.

    Thanks

I have now reinstalled and activated WPML. As I mentioned earlier, the error also occurs with WPML. As soon as I switch from German to English—that is, when I click on the English flag—the error occurs. The error now occurs even without me deactivating Yoast

    thanks

  • Your server ran out of memory. After I disabled other plugins except WPML (freeing up some memory), the English version loaded correctly.

Please contact your hosting provider regarding this.

    Best regards
