Slider is not a theme and must be updated separately. You use very old slider version which is not compatible with latest WP 4.3 and that's why you could have a problem. Please update your slider then and hope all will be good.

Hi, you should go back to original theme files and all will be fine. You did too many changes in theme files and this is the reason why it is impossible to find the culprit.

Hi, looks like sidebar works on your site but you forgot to select it for page/s. If you want to set the same sidebar for all pages, you can do this under Theme options > Sidebars section. But 9.5 version of theme is included into latest package.

As we wrote above, you don't need to update in stages. You can update directly from current version to latest one.
