critical error
Good morning,
on my site I have installed the latest betheme update and from that moment I have not been able to enter the backend because when I enter the login credentials I get the error "A critical error has occurred on your website. Check the box site administrator's mail for instructions. "
Nothing comes to my mailbox.
The problem, disproportionately, had already arisen before. When it happened I updated the page and it disappeared, but now it remains and access to the backend is impossible because the error always appears.
I tried to reinstall the theme, even previous versions, but the error persists and I can't get into the backend.
log / apache.error.log is as follows:
[Fri Oct 14 19:57:46.782439 2022] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 26569:tid 139679648757504] [client 193.38.133.32:38342] AH01071: Got error 'PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'Mfn_Setup' not found in /srv/www/pixelstudiocreativo.it/public/wp-content/themes/betheme/functions/importer/class-mfn-importer.php:6\nStack trace:\n#0 /srv/www/pixelstudiocreativo.it/public/wp-content/themes/betheme-child/functions.php(155): require_once()\n#1 /srv/www/pixelstudiocreativo.it/public/wp-settings.php(566): include('/srv/www/pixels...')\n#2 /srv/www/pixelstudiocreativo.it/public/wp-config.php(90): require_once('/srv/www/pixels...')\n#3 /srv/www/pixelstudiocreativo.it/public/wp-load.php(50): require_once('/srv/www/pixels...')\n#4 /srv/www/pixelstudiocreativo.it/public/wp-admin/admin.php(34): require_once('/srv/www/pixels...')\n#5 /srv/www/pixelstudiocreativo.it/public/wp-admin/index.php(10): require_once('/srv/www/pixels...')\n#6 {main}\n thrown in /srv/www/pixelstudiocreativo.it/public/wp-content/themes/betheme/functions/importer/class-mfn-importer.php on line 6'
Per favore mi potete dire come risolvere?
Grazie

The root cause is your child theme.
I have deactivated your child theme and activated the parent one, and everything is working correctly.
As soon as I switch to your child theme, the error appears.
I have left the parent theme active, so you can log in to your dashboard. We do not provide help with child themes, so if you need it to be working, you should contact your web developer.
Best regards
I activated the child by removing the function.php file and everything seems to work ...
There is something in the function.php file that goes against the theme .... but I don't know what ....
Can I send you the function.php so take a look?
As I said in my previous message, we do not provide help with child theme customization.

Child theme support policy
Using a child theme usually means that you want to modify the core theme files. Any mistake in the code may render the page unusable. Please be careful when performing such actions because our support policy does not cover such changes and we will be not able to help you.
In that case, you should contact your web developer.
Best regards
I'm working on the site but the error sometimes compares equally
Also, when users try to open the site page many times, the screen appears blank.
I did some tests by opening the page with chrome gives me this error:
Are you working on the parent theme?
Please, turn off all of the plugins, refresh your cache, and check if the problem persists.
Moreover, check if the same thing happens when you activate another theme like Twenty Twenty.
Thanks
I have activated the parent theme, now I do some tests
So I have a question: they taught me to always work on the child so that I don't lose the style changes that I would lose with parent theme updates ... isn't that so?
If I use the parent theme then what is the child for?
By using the parent theme, isn't there a risk that I will lose my customizations?
If you want to overwrite the styles and functions in the parent theme, then it is best to use a child theme.
It all depends on how much you want to customize your website. Most of the CSS styles can be set in Theme Options, BeBuilder, or writing custom CSS code, and placing in Betheme -> Theme options -> Custom CSS & JS -> CSS.
If you want to modify theme functions, then a child theme is necessary, but any mistake in the code may make your website unusable, so you need to be especially careful with that.
Best regards
So what I edit in the custom CSS boxes also doesn't get lost with theme updates?
I uninstalled all the plugins and then reactivated them one at a time ... yet in the backend the initial error sporadically recurs ....
I don't know how to identify the cause
1) No, what you put into Theme Options -> Custom CSS & JS -> CSS, will not be lost after the theme update.
2) Do you have the most current version of Betheme?
Best regards
Yes, the version has just been updated to 26.5.1.2
I have now updated to 26.5.1.3 but the problem persists
